EBG | Network is committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
About EBG | Network
EBG | Network (legal name EBG e-Business Guide AB) is a small private company based in Stockholm, Sweden. Since 2010, we have created conferences, webinars, and content within sourcing, procurement, and finance. Today we host CPO Outlook and EBG | Xperience conferences, online webinars, and publish newsletters and articles via ebgnetwork.com.
EBG was founded by Anna Bjärkerud and is today run together with partner and husband Lars Bjärkerud.
The GDPR & Our Commitment
The EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”) protects EU citizens’ fundamental right to privacy and the protection of personal data. It applies to companies that collect and process personal data of EU citizens. Personal data means any information relating to an individual that can be used to directly or indirectly identify that person, including name, identification number, or online identifiers.
EBG | Network is fully committed to these requirements and continuously works to ensure compliance.

How We Handle Your Personal Data
EBG | Network respects your right to privacy. We ensure all data is managed lawfully, fairly, and transparently. We never share your personal data except in the specific circumstances described below.
Event Registration Data Sharing: When you register to participate in an event hosted by EBG | Network (conference, webinar, or workshop), we share your registration data — name, title, company, email address, and phone number — with the sponsoring Expert Organizations for that event.
Representatives from Expert Organizations may contact you ahead of the event. By registering, you agree to these terms. You may of course choose not to participate if you do not wish your data to be shared.
For webinars, we also share information provided during the session with the sponsoring company.
We take great care in selecting who we work with and how they manage your data. We welcome feedback about your experiences.
Data Storage & Retention
Your personal data is stored on:
- Local, password-protected EBG hard drives
- Cloud services for financial and newsletter management (PayPal, Payson, Visma eEkonomi, Paloma/Magnet)

Direct Marketing & Communications
EBG | Network sends two types of communications:
- Information about free webinars and webinar recordings
- Information about our conferences CPO Outlook and EBG | Xperience
Anna or Lars may also send you a personal email for a specific reason that is not a newsletter.
Unsubscribing: You can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any promotional email, replying to a personal email asking not to be contacted, or emailing gdpr@ebgnetwork.com.
Our communications comply with GDPR under either Consent or Legitimate Interests. The GDPR specifically states in Recital 47 that direct marketing may be carried out for a legitimate interest. We will explain which legal basis applies in any individual case upon request.
We continuously audit our business contacts to ensure legitimate interest remains valid. We use LinkedIn to verify that contacts have expressed interest in our field. We primarily communicate via corporate email addresses. If you registered for a webinar or newsletter using a private email address, we will note this in our communications and are happy to update it to a corporate address upon request.

Right to Lodge a Complaint: If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) at www.imy.se.
