As Head of Procurement my role is three-fold: developing and growing my team, creating value for Norden and safe-guarding Norden’s interests when it comes to procuring goods and services.
I believe that motivated people are the key to success in any team. Therefore, my focus lies in building my team so that they can grow both professionally and personally.
Working in strategic procurement, I have a strong background in category management, negotiation and supplier relationship management. These roles have been primarily within the field of shipping & logistics companies.
In these roles, I have taken a total cost of ownership perspective in sourcing commodities and thereby, created value and improved the bottom line for the respective companies. Looking beyond the category management, my work enables me to streamline processes and contribute to strategic decision making within the business. It allows me work across divisions and take a best practice & continuous improvement perspective when recommending a course of action.
My educational background is a Masters in International Business from Copenhagen Business School and a Bachelors in International Business & Finance from Georgetown University. I have a multicultural background as a result of having lived in a variety of countries in Southeast Asia and the US. This gives me a unique perspective when engaging with stakeholders and suppliers.
