I have deep expertise in strategic sourcing, procure-to-pay (P2P), and a variety of procurement software categories, knowledge that I attribute to my uniquely blended background as practitioner, analyst and now solution provider.
As a practitioner, I was on the forefront of the evolving world of procurement, starting out in the early 2000s. I then transitioned to a technology analyst. Most notably, I authored the first-ever P2P Gartner Magic Quadrant report, a report that has become a leading barometer for the market’s direction, maturity and participants. As part of that initiative, I was one of the first to clearly define P2P as a market and shape it, establishing the scope and capabilities needed to be a player.

With my vast experience as an analyst for so many years, speaking to thousands of end users, I have a keen ability for connecting the dots between source-to-pay (S2P) and the supply chain. Through that lens, I possess a holistic view, one that allows me to connect all the needs, challenges, market forces, trends and opportunities together. And we all know that supply chain is a strategic game of connecting the right dots.

During my tenure as an analyst, I focused on how S2P and all its elements should work. Now at Basware I’m enjoying testing those theories in “real life,” exploring how those really work for customers given specific requirements and limitations. I consider myself a highly analytical individual, so I enjoy digging in when I work with customers and internal colleagues to evaluate their needs. My passion is figuring out how to create value for customers, ultimately making sure we – at Basware – are creating and clearly articulating that value to them.
