Procurement’s role in the upcoming New German Supply Chain Act
This new ESG legislation will impose new due diligence obligations on companies to extend the protection of human rights and environmental standards to their suppliers. On January 1, 2023 companies will need to have measures in place to identify and eliminate or minimize human rights and environmental risks in their supply chains, even if not headquartered in Germany.
Discuss how you company can:
- How can you create a risk and due diligence assessment (identify, prevent, mitigate and communicate) to comply with the Act?
- Who are the key stakeholders you need to engage with both inside and outside of your organization?
- How do you manage and scale data collection and program tracking throughout the entire supply chain including direct and indirect suppliers?
